4 out of 5 stars solvit pupstep plus pet stairs   January 9, 2009
The stairs are great for my smaller dog, but my heavier dog (french bulldog)has a more difficult time getting up and down them. The stairs are pretty steep and there isn't a lot of foot space, so he has to take baby steps to get down (funny to watch). They seem to be sturdy and I would definitely only use on a rug or carpet for added stability because the collapsible part slides a little. Overall, I love it because I can collapse it easily and hide it when I want to. It's worth the purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Pup Steps   January 6, 2009
The steps are nice and were easy to assemble since all you have to do is peel the back off the fabric pieces and attach them. The steps are large so make sure you have enough room. My dog refuses to use the stairs. She is really picky and I'm sure with practice she will come around. Overall I think they are of great quality and worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars No more PAIN   December 26, 2008
Solvit PupSTEP Plus Pet StairsWe have a four year old Maltese who was having really bad shoulder PAIN from jumping off the couch and bed. He would wake up and start to move and cry because of the pain. Since he started using these pet stairs his pain is gone! It took him about a month to get use to using but now he uses them all the time. They are well made, light, and fold up if you need to put them up to clean or just out of the way for company. I highly recommend these for anyone who has small pets that jump up and down off furniture. I look forward to many more years with my dog and am glad that I made this purchase for his health. I think it will help him not have shoulder pain or even have to have surgery when he is older, which is common with small dogs who jump off furniture.

5 out of 5 stars Freedom for all!   December 22, 2008
These steps have been a back saver for me and fun for the dogs. We have Australian terriers who are too short to get up on the big king sized bed. Our older dog, Uncle Toby, should not be jumping off the bed either, but that's another story. We chose these steps because they fold up to scoot under the bed for convenience, and also, they are taller than the others. I wanted something that would bring the dogs up high enough that they wouldn't have such a big jump at the end. It took a very short time to get our female, Taylor, to use them because she's not afraid of anything and is very agile. Once she had the routine down (about three tries) Toby got into the spirit of the game and decided he could do it, too. Now I just tell them "Up!" and don't have to constantly lift them, which saves my bad back. Mr. T (Big Daddy) prefers the couch, but has had no problems with the steps the couple of times he went up them. There are replacement pads available if the steps get worn, but so far they give the dogs plenty of traction. Our dogs weigh 20 pounds and under, so I don't know how well they would work for bigger breeds, but for us they are just perfect and well worth the price. Go Aussies!

5 out of 5 stars Making Dog life easy   December 16, 2008
The Solvit dog stairs are indeed a good purchase. My dog is now 9 and she was having a rough time getting onto my bed at night and missed twice. I was afraid of a broken hip or leg since it sits up 30" off the floor. With some coaxing with treats she now willing climbs into her spot on the bed each night ready for slumber. She goes about 40 lbs and her weight seemed no problem, but my kitten is who also likes the convience.
