Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Keep your newborn all bundled up with this innovative baby wrap made of 100% micro-fleece fabric. Pediatricians recommend swaddling your newborn to comfort and soothe them, and this blanket makes it easy with its "wings" and re-adjustable tabs that wrap around and fasten securely. A snap for even the most swaddling-challenged parents!

5 out of 5 stars Can't live without it!   October 18, 2008
When my newborn outgrew a blanket swaddle, I turned to the Swaddle Me. It is the best! She sleeps longer and more soundly when swaddled in the Swaddle Me. It has saved my life! And my beauty sleep!

5 out of 5 stars Wait a month or so. Better sleep for the whole family   October 13, 2008
As a NICU nurse, I frequently hear the research from the developmental specialists saying newborns (especially itty bitty NICU babies) need to be swaddled with their arms central, elbows bent, and their hands around their mouth area. So for the first month of my sons' lives I used regular swaddling blankets and the SwaddleMe more like a blanket sleeper, around their torsos and legs. After about a month (past due date, not birthdate, btw, if they were early), about when they tend to keep their arms down naturally on their own, I swaddled their arms down with the SwaddleMe. Instant transformation! It was like a little switch telling them, "OK, now it's alright for you to keep sleeping a little longer." They fell asleep a little sooner and more reliably and it added about an hour to each sleep stretch. It's also reassuring that incidence of SIDS is a little lower in swaddled versus unswaddled babies (not much though, don't freak out if your baby breaks out of the swaddle anyway). I had several different SwaddleMes with each baby, and I like this fleece one the best because it is just stretchy enough to hold the baby comfortably in pretty well, with a little movement but not enough to bust out, and the velcro on this one works better than the other ones I tried (though still not as well as I'd like). Biggest complaint was that the fleece doesn't wash marvelously- it pills up like most fleece things. I now lay it flat to dry!

5 out of 5 stars A Total Must Have!!   October 12, 2008
We used this on my son every night and it really works well in making the baby feel warm, safe & secure. Bedtime was a whole lot easier and we even bought the Large size afterwards, as it doesn't take long before they out grow this one.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the money   October 6, 2008
My friend gave me one for me son because he wouldn't sleep unless he was wrapped tightly but we never could get him tight enough for his satisfaction. Once we got the swaddle me he started sleeping for longer periods of time. We would swaddle him and lay him on the couch since it was the only place he would sleep for the first 3 months and we wouldnt hear a peep out of him until he was hungry or till his older sister (older by 11 months) would bother him. Were having another baby and will definitely get this again since we gave the first one away. It is way better than the blankets and the little velcro makes it so that it will stay tight until you unwrap your little bundle of joy. It is also a million times easier to swaddle your baby with the swaddle me than with a receiving blanket.

5 out of 5 stars This saved us from sleepless nights   July 12, 2008
My son has been swaddled using the kiddopotamus since birth. We just now stopped using it at 5.5 months. He was sleeping through the night at 2 months and taking great naps. We just wrap him in it and he would fall asleep in seconds. We ended up using both the small and large sizes. He didn't outgrow the weight but got too long for the smalls but the larges worked wonderful as well.
