This litter will be the third generation for Rose valley kennel. We breed AKC Irish setters from show lines and from the two different field lines. Raising dogs should always be about producing the best possible quality of puppies, at or beyond AKC Standards, we feel if you are purchasing a puppy from a good genetic background, and with appropriate and consistent training, it will make anyone an excellent companion. We breed for DISPOSITIONS, as this is very important when you are adding a puppy into your family. Here at Rose Valley Kennel we strive to achieve HEALTH, " in our dogs. All pups vet checked at six weeks, vaccines, and worming up to date. I am Missouri and AKC inspected. I "DO NOT" sell to brokers or pet stores. I only breed my females once a year. My puppies are ONLY sold to APPROVED homes. There is a list of questions in my puppy section that each family MUST fill out before I will consider placing one of my puppies in their new home. It is VERY important to me that EACH and EVERY puppy go to a LOVING, CARING, and RESPONSIBLE home.

About Our Irish Setter Breeding Program

bullet I am not a broker, dealer or wholesaler. I will not offer puppies for sale that I have acquired from others. I will not sell puppies to pet shops or other retailers.

bullet I will provide information on the characteristics and properties of the breed to interested individuals.

bullet I will maintain a safe, clean and sanitary facility for all stud dogs, bitches, adult dogs for sale and puppies for sale.

bullet I will breed only for the purpose of improving the quality of the breed. I will conscientiously plan each litter of puppies for sale, selecting a stud dog and female to be mated based on their pedigrees, conformation and temperament.

bullet I will be knowledgeable about inherited health problems in my breed and will do appropriate health clearances on all breeding animals. Copies of these health clearances will be available to buyers of adult dogs for sale and puppies for sale.

bullet I will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed, nor falsely advertise, or mislead any person regarding the performance of any dogs for sale or puppies for sale.

bullet I will not breed any male or female until they are both physically and mentally mature, and I will not continue to breed any male or female beyond an appropriate age for the breed.

bullet I will comply with all federal, state or provincial and local government laws and regulations concerning the keeping of dogs.

bullet Puppies offered for sale will be registered only with the American Kennel Club, or other registry with equivalent standards and requirements.

bullet I will refrain from releasing any puppy until it is at least seven (7) weeks old, or eight (8) weeks old if the puppy is to be shipped.

bullet I will show discrimination in the sale of my puppies and be concerned with the type of homes in which they are placed. I will make buyers aware of their responsibilities as dog owners. I will not sell or donate dogs to commercial dog wholesalers, dealers, brokers, retailers, pet shops or any other person or organization, for resale or "give-away" to the public. I will not supply puppies for charity raffles or auctions.

bullet I agree to be a resource for buyers of puppies or older dogs that I have sold for the life of the dog.

Health Information About Our Irish Setter Dogs & Puppies

Congratulations on the purchase of your new puppy! We want your puppy to give you much happiness. In order to accomplish this, we have prepared this contract to help you in the care of your new puppy. This is also your health guarantee. Please read the following carefully: Please feed the sample puppy food only for at least the next three days. Then gradually add some of the puppy food of your choice if you wish to change the food. Sudden changes in diet can cause diarrhea and will void this health guarantee. In case of illness, inform seller immediately, Lola Davis, 816-630-2942. At the time of purchase, all puppies will have been checked out by a veterinarian, be up to date on worming and vaccinations and will have a puppy package that includes AKC Registration Application, shot record and sample of puppy food. All puppies will be sold as LIMITED AKC Registering. Please read the following statements below and sign your agreement at the bottom:

I, the buyer, understand that the seller cannot guarantee the future health of any animal they sell. However, the seller will guarantee it to be in good health at the time of the sell or the puppy will be replaced/ money returned, decided by the seller. This is a 48 hour guarantee. Buyer must take the puppy(s) to a licensed Veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase at the buyer�s expense for this guarantee to remain valid. Any additional veterinary care is solely the responsibility of the buyer. Any vaccinations or medications given during this 48 hour period may null and void this health guarantee. I the buyer understand that any accidents that may occur or anything that the puppy ingests after leaving the care of the seller is the buyer�s responsibility.

In addition, each puppy(s) comes with a Limited Genetic Health Guarantee against death caused by genetic defects of the heart, liver, kidneys and lungs for one (1) year from date of purchase. You must contact us within 24 hours of the exam if any problems have been found and provide Seller with a copy of your Veterinarian�s written certificate stating the exact genetic defect found. In the event that the puppy must be returned, the live puppy must be accompanied by a written report from your veterinarian within 24 hours of inspection and is left up to the discretion of the seller. After the 48 hours pass, seller is not responsible for this puppy in any financial or medical way. I the buyer understand that the seller will not be responsible for any veterinarian fees what-so-ever, and any expenditure I might incur will be my choice and responsibility.

In the event of death, the Buyer�s licensed Veterinarian must provide the Seller with a written certificate stating the exact cause of death as verified by an autopsy. Our licensed Veterinarian will review the Buyer�s Veterinarian�s report, and if in agreement as to the presence of a genetic defect as listed above, or that a puppy�s death was caused by a genetic defect listed above and not due to neglect, accidents, or sickness at the puppy�s new home, the puppy will be replaced with one of equal value as soon as one becomes available. If these regulations are not met the Guarantee becomes null and void. We do not refund money, and Buyer will be responsible for any Veterinarian expenses and any expenses incurred to return the puppy to the Seller or to have a replacement puppy shipped to the Buyer.

I understand that the seller does not guarantee against Parvo or any kind of bacteria and/or viruses after 48 hours of purchase. I also understand that vaccination for these diseases does not guarantee that the animal will not contract a disease. Please keep the puppy away from any unhealthy pets or areas that have been infected. If the puppy has sustained health problems resulting from injury, or mistreatment or neglect, after leaving the Seller, the Seller will not assume responsibility for it and no refund will be forthcoming. There may be exceptions, to be determined by the seller. If abuse or neglect is found to be the case, seller may demand the puppy to be return at the buyer�s expense.

The seller does not guarantee size, coat, color, un-descended testicle, under bite or overbite or fertility once the puppy has left our premises. Also, we do not warranty against hypoglycemia, umbilical hernia, retained puppy teeth, coccidiosis, giardia, ear mites, external/internal parasites, viral or bacterial infections that may occur after the puppy is brought into your environment.

I the buyer understand that the seller will mail the puppy�s registration papers, if applicable, upon clearance of the buyer�s check. Allow 10 days to 2 weeks. Any bad check or stopped check will be prosecuted. And the puppy MUST be returned at the buyer�s expense.

This written agreement is a binding contract entered into the State of Missouri and is the entire agreement between the buyer and seller. This guarantee is extended to the original Purchaser only, and is not transferable.
