About Our Standard Poodle Breeding Program
Starting with an English Setter in 1964 and poodles Since 1988, Grace Durkin of Magic Castle Kennels has been working continually to improve the Standard Poodle breed. Producing just 1 or 2 very special litters each year, Magic Castle Standard Poodles exemplify the breed standard with quality puppies of exceptional conformation and temperament. We breed apricot, red-apricot, and black standard poodles.Recently we had a Champion litter with silver and white. We are the cobreeders of "CH. Farley D's Enchanted Magikasl" red/apricot puppy from "Magikasl's Miss Fit Peach" and by "CH. Farley D's Midnight Sun" who earned her Championship as the FIRST red/apricot female champion in the USA.

We are proud to be members in good standing of the Red Apricot Poodle Club and proud to say that Magic Castle's Justin Time was Best in SHow at the 2003 Apricot Match. We are proud members in good standing of the AKC, All of our dogs are AKC registered. Peaches, Chelsea?s mother, was a Master in agility games and titled in many areas of Dog agility. Our Stud dog Justin, Justin Time at Magic Castle, has been pointed toward his championship. Coming soon will be his litter bred to our Finnish Import, Venla.

Health Information About Our Standard Poodle Dogs & Puppies
Our Standard Poodles are carefully screened for health problems prior to breeding, including hips, Von Wildebrands, eye Certification, a blood panel to check for Addison?s disease, thyroid and a skin punch for Sebaceous Adenitis screening. We provide full disclosure of our medical histories at the time of purchase. Pedigrees are scrupulously studied to avoid possible problems that are not directly testable in the parents.Now there are several genetic tests available. DNA testing can prevent some diseases completely. All puppies are vet-checked and fully vaccinated before leaving for their new homes, and come with a health guarantee to allow you to have your veterinarian verify the health of your new addition. Puppies are temperment tested at 49 days in order to formulate a profile to match them best to prospective owners.
Buyer Requirements for Our Standard Poodle Puppies
In keeping with our spay/neuter policy, all Standard Poodle puppies must be altered unless breeders terms have been arranged at the time of purchase. We are careful to ensure that our puppies are being placed in caring, quality homes and ask that potential buyers make a life-time commitment to their new puppy. To help us in determining each applicant's suitability for ownership, we prefer to have a recommendation from both a qualified veterinarian and a groomer. We offer unlimited post-sale support to assist you and your new Standard Poodle puppy in adjusting to your new life together.A written contract is required to ensure that both parties are aware of the expectations.
We prefer not to ship. We will ship puppies, only when accompanied by a human at additional charge. SHOW puppies are sold only on a very limited basis. We will NEVER use an outside SHipper.
