About Our German Shepherd Breeding Program

We are Working German Shepherd breeders located in Palmer Alaska. I, Brigitte, have owned German Shepherd dogs for 28 years, my whole life. We now have time in our lives to provide people with the quality of dogs they want and deserve. Together with my husband Shaun, we have extensive experience with Alaska Sprint dog racing. Having been involved with the best working sled dogs in the world since we were children, we believe we can transition this knowledge to the working German Shepherd. Soon we hope that Alaska will be a known source for the worlds best working German Shepherds.
We are breeding for our program as working K-9 trainers. Our objective is to breed the best Police, Military, Schutzhund, SAR, Personal Protection, & Family Companion Dogs as possible. Our number one goal is to educated our puppy buyers and the public about Working Dogs. We preserve the real working blood of the GSD. We accomplish this by using the best European working bloodlines. We import dogs every year to keep new blood going into our breeding program. We believe this to be critical for the GSD to thrive in Alaska.
We have the facility to take dogs and train them if you have a problems or if something later on in your life comes up and you can no longer care for your Companion.
All of our pups are handled from day one with children ages two to eight. To us it is very important to work with the pups everyday. All our puppies include Current Vaccinations, Multiple Worming, Guaranteed HD Free, Guaranteed Elbows normal, Guaranteed Genetically Sound, enrolled in our FREE puppy program, FREE Six week puppy training course , FREE life time support by two GSD trainers. Extreme Socialization with kids everyday. All our pups are introduced to tracking/bite work with a rag at 4 to 5 weeks in our yard, Pet stores after pups are fully vaccinated, Riding in cars, crates, Different houses, Horses, other breeds of dogs & Cats. We flood our puppies minds with different stimuli so that they come to you, they will have as much socialization as a puppy can possibly get. We know of no other kennel anywhere that socializes their puppies to a greater degree. It is our specialty as we love this part of the process and have a full understanding of the importance of proper imprinting. We encourage you to come out and see how we accomplish this in person at our training facility and home.

Shipping Cost and Fees
Shipping costs is the responsibility of the buyer, we do all the flight arrangements and pay for the shipping for you before the pup is even sent from Anchorage. Fees are currently $300 to most places in the US & Canada, and most places in Alaska it is $150 for an eight week old puppy, which includes a health certificate, shipping crate, transportation to airport and plane fare. Puppies older then eight weeks and older dogs shipping cost increases, Due to the weight of the puppy and the size of the crate. Due to airline cost increases could be subject to change at the time of shipment. All Shipping costs must be paid before shipping.

Lytle’s K-9’s German Shepherd Puppy Purchase Agreement
This agreement is made and entered into on this_____day of_____, 20____ by and between Lytle’s K-9’s (hereafter referred to as "Sellers") and _____________________(hereafter referred to as "Buyer") for the purpose of setting forth the terms and conditions of the purchase by the Buyer of a German Shepherd Dog puppy from the litter whelped on _____,_____, 20_____.

The Sellers agree to sell and the Buyer agrees to buy one male/female (circle one), German Shepherd Dog, (hereinafter "Animal") from the above described litter.
The Sellers warrant that the above-described animal is in good health and free of communicable diseases at the time Buyer assumes ownership. Buyer agrees to have animal examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of receipt of animal. Upon receipt of animal, The Sellers shall be obligated to refund all monies received from Buyer toward the purchase of the animal during the first 72 hours only, and further performance under this contract shall be null and void. Buyer will be responsible for shipping costs in returning said animal to Sellers. The Buyer is completely satisfied and waives any and all claims regarding the animal's conformation and outward appearance.
The Buyer agrees to maintain preventative health care of the animal including, but not limited to: inoculations, internal as well as external parasites, heartworm preventative medication. The dog will be kept lean and a healthy weight documented and kept by the Buyer to indicate such.
The Buyer agrees to maintain preventative care of the animal in regards to hip dysplasia, such as proper nutrition, proper exercise and preventing stress injuries, (i.e. not allowing the dog to jump heights taller than itself at the shoulder, no forced exercise such as running until at least 16 months of age).
Ownership of the Animal shall be transferred to the Buyer for the sale price of $_________ USD. If shipping is needed, an additional $300 USD will be charged for a grand total of $__________ USD. Only after the agreed upon amount is paid, may the animal be removed from the Sellers premises. If the balance is left unpaid until the puppy is 8 weeks of age, this agreement shall be cancelled at the Sellers option and the Buyer shall thereafter forfeit the security deposit of $300 USD.
This dog/pup __________ being sold with FULL breeding rights. If the animal is sold with full breeding rights, the Buyer agrees that this animal will not be used for breeding purposes until it is at least 20 months of age for bitches and 24 months of age for dogs. They must also have the following; OFA, PENNhip or A-Stamp certification to insure the hips are normal. Negative brucellosis, all inoculations and worming must be up to date.
The animal will be replaced by a healthy animal of equal value of the time of purchase if diagnosed with hip dysplasia or elbow dysplasia before or upon 26 months of age. These statements must be accompanied by a written evaluation from OFA, PENNhip or SV (a-stamp). Return of the dysplastic dog shall be at the Buyers discretion, but should the Buyer wish to return the dysplastic animal, the Buyer shall incur the shipping cost to return said animal to Sellers. The animals welfare is agreed to be the most important issue. .
The animal will be replaced by a healthy animal of equal value as when purchased, if diagnosed with any life threatening congenital defect before one year of age. This diagnosis must be accompanied by statements from two neutral Veterinarians.
The Buyer agrees that the Sellers may reposes the animal upon evidence of neglect and/or abuse at no expense to the Sellers, and no refund of any monies. The Buyer agrees the Sellers will name the puppy and will not change the name of said animal.

OK, I promise not to get all mushy.....but I wanted to elaborate more on why I brought the flowers today. Being Thanksgiving week, I felt the need to show how truely thankful I am to have met both you and Shaun. You guys are great people with great values. I'm thankful that I found breeders that are breeding to improve the GSD, a dog I have loved since childhood yet was afraid to own due to the overwhelming number of them being pushed into society with bad temperments. You guys have been nothing but honest and welcoming since I have met you and I appreciate you answering all my endless questions and putting my mind at ease when I was torn on what to do. You both put so much thought and work into the puppies, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you both and all the work you do. I'm EXTREMELY thankful to you for giving me such an awesome pup. I had so many expectations for this little guy before he even came home, and he has exceded all of them within a week! It is a huge relief to know that I have you both to guide me with him to bring him to his full potential, the support you have provided me so far is priceless and I didn't want another day to go by without you knowing how much I appreciate it. I know what its like having your own business and trying to juggle it with having a family and its not easy. Most people don't understand and probably don't appreciate how much you make yourself available just because of your love of the breed.....but I do and again.....am very thankful!
So, I hope you enjoy the flowers and smile everytime you look at them......because you guys have made me smile everytime I see my boy Syren!
