Located in scenic rural upper New York State, Bay's Edge Newfoundlands specializes in breeding and raising very special dogs for very special owners. We have been proud members of the NCA since 1985. Our AKC Registered Newfoundland puppies are bred for health, conformation and temperament for pet or show. Our dogs thrive on plenty of fresh country air and sunshine! They enjoy lots of supervised play time where they can run and frolic to their heart's content. We are very proud of our excellent breeding program which produces dogs that are fine examples of the breed standard. Our puppies are born and raised right in our home in a very clean, family environment where they receive plenty of love, care, attention and gentle handling. By the time they are ready to be placed with their new owners, our puppies are very well-socialized and make a wonderful addition to your family.

As very responsible breeders for more than 15 years, the health of our dogs is a very important concern for us. Our dogs are thoroughly screened for hereditary health problems by a licensed veterinarian prior to breeding, and come from sound OFA backgrounds. Puppies are vet-checked, vaccinated and de-wormed before they are placed with their new owners, and we offer a health guarantee with each puppy that we place. We recommend that our pet-quality puppies be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. This helps us to do our part against irresponsible breeding practices, and to help reduce the growing number of unwanted dogs in shelters throughout the country.
We are very devoted to our dogs and their offspring, and are careful to ensure that potential buyers will be equally devoted to their new puppy. They should have the time, knowledge, ability, facilities and resources to provide a clean, happy, healthy, safe and permanent home for their special puppy. A fenced yard and a very good veterinarian is an absolute must! Our puppies are never to be chained under any circumstances. We ask all of our owners to participate in puppy obedience classes to help their pup reach it's full potential as a good canine citizen. We are happy to provide any advice and support that may be needed in adjusting to life with your new family member, and we love to keep in touch with our new "extended" families!
